
BETH KARAS has been a reporter and legal analyst on television for decades. Currently, she appears as a legal analyst in three seasons of the Investigation Discovery hit series “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace” and its spinoff “Curious Case Of…” both now streaming on HBO Max. Karas co-hosts the podcast “Unrestorable” produced by Anonymous Content and iHeartRadio. Season 2 is in production.
Karas learned how to navigate the courtroom during her eight years as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City under legendary District Attorney, Robert Morgenthau.
Karas left the DA’s office and joined Court TV in 1994 as it was celebrating its third year on the air. During her 19 years at Court TV as an on-air correspondent, Karas covered many of the highest profile cases including Jodi Arias, convicted of murdering her ex-boyfriend; Casey Anthony, the Florida mother acquitted of murdering her toddler; Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted of killing Michael Jackson; and Scott Peterson, convicted of murdering his pregnant wife.
Karas has appeared as a legal expert on virtually every cable and network news programs, including Nightline, Dateline, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, CNN’s AC360, HLN, TMZ, Investigation Discovery, Oxygen, Dr. Oz, E!, and Inside Edition. She has been a legal contributor for ABC's 20/20 program.
Karas has worked with Anonymous Content and NBC’s Universal Content Productions, where she was part of a development team that produced documentaries and podcasts. She reported for the award-winning podcast The Followers: House of Prayer, a story she investigated for three years and which was published by UCP in early 2021.
In the fall of 2017, Karas was part of the documentary team under Academy Award nominated filmmaker Joe Berlinger, producing a six-part series for the Oxygen network about the Jessica Chambers murder in 2014 in Mississippi.
Karas is on the board of the New York Press Club and is President of the New York Press Club Foundation. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Fordham Law School.
